Artist Statement
The impact of COVID was particularly hard on individuals with disabilities attending programs for community engagement so once the stay at home order lifted Katie (with her Mother's help) leased a studio from her mentor, artist Amanda Saint Claire, and the Summer of Love paintings began. The joy in this work is infectious!
Katie does not write about her work but you can view process videos about her work on her website and social media accounts.
